GoDaddy has announced that it’s taking pre-registrations for four new TLDs:
For each domain, GoDaddy is offering “pre-registration” or “priority pre-registration.” The latter is more expensive, and if there is more than registrant, GoDaddy will conduct an auction among the interested parties. Fees range from $40 for a .uno pre-registration up to $1,200 for the .luxury priority pre-registration. The .build domain has the least expensive priority pre-registration price at $190.
GoDaddy claims it’s the first registrar to “launch” the new gTLDs. That may be the case in terms of actually accepting money for pre-registrations but, as Domain Name Wire points out, other regi…
