IAB: At $10.7 Billion, Another Record Breaking Quarter For U.S. Digital Ad Revenues In Q3 2013

According to IAB’s top line report issued today, U.S. digital ad revenues increased by 15 percent year-over-year in the third quarter of 2013 to hit $10.69 billion. The Q3 revenues represent an increase of 4.2 percent from Q2 2013, which came in at $10.26 billion.
After clearing roughly $20 billion in the first half of 2013, the Q3 numbers put digital ad spending in the U.S. on track to top $40 billion. In 2012, internet ad spending hit $36.6 billion, an increase of 15 percent over 2011.

“Once again, interactive marketing is seeing remarkable gains,” said David Silverman, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers US, which conducts the research in partnership with the IAB. “Digital’s momentum is undeniable, as interactive advertising has proved itself to be an incredibly powerful channel for reaching consumers that are spending more time on digital screens than ever before.”
The fourth quarter of 2012 marked the first time digital ad spending in the U.S. passed the $10 billion mark.

World’s 2nd biggest and Asia’s biggest motor show: Auto Expo will be held in New Delhi during the month of February, 2014.
This is most probably the most prestigious motor exhibition inside India, and there is tremendous excitement around this event. It is organized every two years, and in the last expo in 2012, approximately 90 lakh people visited the stalls wherein 1500 participants from 23 countries participated. 50 new cars were launched and Ferrari and Peugeot showcased their lineup for the first time in India. Out of 50, 10 were global launches.

Audi A1 is the premium hatch which is sold globally; but for Indian and Asia-Pacific region, Audi will unleash A3 series which can be classified as compact premium sedan. It will give enough competition to Benz A class and BMW 1-series.

Microsoft Launches Amar Chitra Katha Application on Windows 8 Mobile Platform

During Mumbai Comic Con event in Mumbai, Microsoft announced the launch of Amar Chitra Katha Comic App, which will offer comics created by Amar Chitra Katha is an easy to read, downloadable format. Currently, there are more than 200 titles to choose from in this app, and the numbers will increase as they upload more titles.
