Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus Launched, Sports a 4GB RAM and a 13-Megapixel Primary Camera with PDAF

As expected Vivo has launched X6 and the X6 Plus, both the devices come clad in a metal unibody and the X6 Plus is essentially the larger screened variant of the X6. Both the phones had only recently been listed on the Chinese certification site TENAA along with the images. As far as the display is concerned, the Vivo X6 is fitted with a 5.2-inch display, the X6 Plus on the other hand incorporates a bigger 5.7-inch display. Both the devices sport a 2.5D glass and the much necessary Corning Gorilla protection. As we told earlier, the X6 Plus is just a bigger variant of the X6 and it shares most of the innards with the X6. The newly launched Vivo devices sport a fingerprint scanner at the back and just like all the other smartphone manufacturers, Vivo also seems to be readying its own payment system.Under the hood of both the Vivo X6 and the X6 Plus lies a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and paired with a mammoth 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Both the devices are expected to support ru…

A 3-Step Plan For Easier Email Marketing

Since 1970, the recycle triangle, or what’s more formally known as the universal recycling symbol, has been the little reminder that we should recycle, reuse and reduce waste. If you want to rev up your email marketing and create great emails without having to spend too much time rethinking them, there are three comparable Rs you need to follow. To keep a presence in your customer’s inbox and continuously drive traffic from your subscriber base, just remember to Regiment, Repurpose and Recycle.RegimentAs a foundation for easily creating quality emails without too much hassle, one needs to be able to draw upon a solid base of rich content and written content. That rich content can include any combination of videos, webinars, podcasts or interviews, and your written content can, as the name implies, include blog articles, guest posts and white papers or guides.Obviously, it will vary based on your business, but to build a solid base of content, it’s important to establish a firm regimen o…

What’s Old Is New Again: Why Affiliate Marketing Is Growing

As the year comes to a close, I can’t help but think about all of the changes that have taken place over the past 12 months in our industry — things like the shift toward content marketing versus traditional online ads, social “buy” buttons, advances in online to offine, and the list goes on.There’s no doubt that 2015 has been the most innovative and interesting year of my career. The conversations and top headlines have really helped me home in on what it is that I enjoy so much about my job and the marketing channel I’ve worked in for 12 years. It’s also led me to share my definition of what affiliate marketing really means, why it’s growing and how I believe it should be viewed. There are some consistent themes that resonate with both e-commerce companies and consumers, all at a seemingly perfect time when marketers are looking for a more organic way to drive sales.Original, Native ContentThe content on affiliate sites is the original native content. With affiliate marketing, produc…

First Impressions: Obi Worldphone SF1- Looks Different, Certainly

Obi, the company which has the legendary John Sculley (Yes, yes, He-Who-Sacked-Steve-Jobs-At-Apple!) as one of its founders, has made its official return to the Indian market after a brief sabbatical. Unlike its past endeavour, which it conceded had been marked by phones manufactured by a third party (yes, in China) and stamped with the Obi brandname, this time the company has gone with an all new design which it claims is very much its own and is as un-Chinese as they come. The first phone marking Obi’s new coming in India is the SF1, the initials standing for San Francisco, where the phone has been designed (very much the un-China this is). And yes, it just takes a glance for you to realise that it is pretty much unlike anything out there in the phone looks department.Whether you actually LIKE the look is going to be a matter of opinion, though. The SF1 comes with a 5.0-inch full HD display, which gives it a pixel density of 443 ppi. But what makes the display stand out – literally –…

Use Text-To-Speech to Fly Through Your Reading List

As I type this, there are currently 3000 odd articles in my Instapaper queue. Now, I’m not kidding myself. I’ve accepted that I’m never going to get through that list. Pocket Zero is a nice theory and all, but it’s not for me.Still, in those 3000 articles are some gems I really don’t want to miss out on. For example, the 57 minute long piece from Matter titled SELFIE (I’m halfway through and it’s really good). And there are many more. Now, if a story has been buried for two to three weeks, I usually let it go. But recently, I’ve been “star”ing the articles I really don’t want to miss, and I’ve been using text-to-speech to get through them.Yes, it’s not perfect. It’s not even close to perfect but it will do. I loved loved loved Umano – the app that would catalog popular news and feature stories read by professional voice over artists. It was a great time to be alive. But sadly Umano is no more. So we’ll have to make do with text-to-speech. Not bad, just fine, text-to-speech.Instapaper a…

Black Friday Weekend: E-Commerce Thinned Crowds, Mobile Devices Drove Traffic

Black Friday ain’t what it used to be. The cultural ritual (if I can call it that) appears to have lost some of its mojo as many retailers, seeking attention and competitive advantage, make Black Friday-style deals available before Thanksgiving. There has also been a shift of some in-store shopping to online (and mobile).According to in-store analytics provider ShopperTrak brick-and-mortar retail sales on Thanksgiving and Black Friday this year came in at roughly $12.1 billion, which is lower than in 2014. Specifically Black Friday brought in $10.4 this year vs. $11.6 billion in 2014.By comparison Adobe estimated that on Thanksgiving and Black Friday consumers spent approximately $4.45 billion online. That comparison lends itself to the simplistic narrative now being pushed by some: online soars while stores struggle. The reality is that many of the beneficiaries of the growth in online sales were traditional retail brands. According to Channel Advisor, Amazon and eBay did well but so …

New Amazon Prime Air Drone Will Fly up to 400Ft with a Range of 15Miles

Amazon has once again flaunted their Prime Air delivery system and this time around they have chosen the very famous Ex-Top Gear TV presenter, Jeremy Clarkson a.k.a Jezza. The Drone seems to be a modified version of the current drones which we are used to seeing and it features dual propeller setups. The vertical propeller will aid in its take off while the horizontal one on its flight. The drone has a loading area which presumably comes with electrically actuated levers, enabling the doors to open and close. According to Amazon, the combination of two propeller shafts will let it fly long distance and smoothly maneuver while going up and down. Amazon has been working on many drones and this is just one of the prototype but considering that fact that the company has taken pain to shoot the advert with this one, the drone in question might very well be the final one.In order to tackle the adversities in the conditions, Amazon will be designing different drones for specific regions.
