All digital growth now coming from mobile usage — comScore

A new report from comScore uses a vertiable mountain of data to expose and explain the multi-platform state of internet user behavior. However it equally makes clear that mobile is now the growth driver, while the desktop is rapidly becoming a “secondary touchpoint” for a large percentage of the US digital audience. The report, entitled 2016 U.S. Cross-Platform Future in Focus, covers a broad range of channels and consumer behaviors. I won’t try to cover everything here, just some of the high-level usage data. The full report is free and can be downloaded after registration. The data above show that mobile now represents 65 percent of all digital media time, with mobile apps dominating that usage. The desktop has lost 12 percentage points since 2013 and has now receded to 35 percent of digital time spent. That’s not to say it isn’t important; most e-commerce transactions are still taking place on the PC and a multi-platform strategy is critical. However many marketers and brands still t…

Tesla Model 3 in India: Observations & Analysis

Disclaimer: I’m in no way an auto expert, neither do I know a lot about Indian import system. Over the last couple of days I managed to read some stuff about Tesla’s plans for India and had some meaningful conversations about the same on Twitter. This is just a summary of things as I understand.Elon Musk and Tesla unveiled the Model 3 – the “revolutionary” and “affordable” electric car which promises to deliver at least 215 miles of range beginning at “just” $35,000. If you were living in a cave and don’t know much about the Tesla Model 3, you can read more about that here. The point of article is not to discuss how good the car is, or why people are queuing up (quite literally) to place a pre-order for something whose production is expected to start late-2017, but to talk about something which has dominated my Twitter timeline for the past two days.Adding several more countries to Model 3 order page tonight. Check for details, but will include India, Brazil, SA, SK, NZ, Sing & Ir…

Smartphone OEMs are Finally Growing Up

They reinvent, they succeed, they move onFor years, smartphone manufacturers have tried to dominate each other by bringing some spectacular technologies to our handhelds. In a race for becoming the best in the market, OEMs have stuffed in features overlooking what customers actually need. This has been a periodical problem that has persisted over every season of smartphone launches. We’ve witnessed embedment of fingerprint sensors, iris scanners, 4K panels, pressure sensitive displays and a whole lot more. Companies have prioritized thinner aesthetics over SD card support and battery life which for the most users out there is arguably unnecessary. As a result, the rationale attached to all this was never certain, the upgrades actually never felt coherent and always created a scruffy environment for the user.Buying a smartphone carries a bag of compromisesIf you’re getting a high-resolution display, you should either get comfortable with a huge phone or settle for a mediocre battery. 7 Best eBooks On Sprituality which you can’t Afford to Miss

From Mr. Anonymous:I’m not a religious person yet I respect all the religions. I like the fact that it gives a purpose to a community to stick around. At the same time, I don’t like them because a majority of them divide people based on their religion, color, ethnic or for any other reasons possible. I believe the real religion is this truth:Every morning sun will riseEvery night moon will shine. This is a universal truth that doesn’t change for any religion, ethnic or any other reason. You might be thinking why you should know this & how I know all this. It’s because, at one point of my life, I was struggling with living life. For long, I felt like I’m caged & doing things just because somebody else wanted me to be. I’m not radical rather I’m the guy whoI’m not radical rather I’m the guy who sits at the first bench & score the best grades in exams. I was doing good in my life after graduation & my business + money was growing. Even though I was at the stage where I had…
