Pinterest says it has 250 million active monthly users

rvlsoft / Shutterstock.com Pinterest has reached a new milestone, now reporting more than 250 million monthly active users.“If Pinterest were a country, we’d be the fifth largest in the world!”  Jon Kaplan, the company’s head of global sales, wrote in the announcement.More than half of Pinterest users are located outside of the United States, with 80 percent of new sign-ups also coming from outside of the country. The company also said it now has 750 billion pins, up 75 percent over last year.Pinterest, which has remained relatively tight-lipped with advertising and user numbers, said it had 150 million users almost two years ago. In April, it reported 150 million businesses were on the platform and that it had experienced a 50 percent year-over-year increase in small-to-midsize business advertisers.The company’s growing monthly user base will likely help with its efforts to attract more brands, and Pinterest has been rolling out a number of new perks for advertisers and businesses on …

LinkedIn brings Dynamic Ads into Campaign Manager platform

After launching a newly redesigned Campaign Manager platform in July, LinkedIn is now bringing its Dynamic Ad product to the newly overhauled ad management tool.Businesses running Dynamic Ads on LinkedIn will now be able to create, manage and track campaigns through the Campaign Manager platform.LinkedIn’s Dynamic Ads run on the professional networking site’s desktop feed and are customized per the viewer using publicly available information from the LinkedIn users profiles.“Creative is automatically personalized with each member’s profile info, like their photo, first name, company, job title and more,” LinkedIn Principal Product Manager Ayusman Sarangi said in a statement. “You can add macros — data mapping tools — for even greater customization capabilities.”The Dynamic Ads also come with pre-built templates and auto-translation capabilities. Facebook advertisers can now manage where Instant Article, in-stream video ads appear

Facebook is extending its placement reporting to Instant Articles and in-stream video so advertisers can preemptively block publishers from their campaigns and continually update those exclusion lists based on where their ads run.Advertisers will be able to review the list of publishers monetizing content via Instant Articles and in-stream videos before running a campaign, and exclude any publishers they want to avoid by adding them to their blocked lists. They will also be able to download Facebook in-stream and Instant Article publisher delivery reports to see where ads appeared while a campaign is live, and add exclusions accordingly.
